About this painting
Permeation is a story about closeness — about how the presence of another person can change the way we see ourselves.
Two figures emerged from the same form and are almost identical, yet they remain distinct. Their shared presence begins to blur the boundary between them. In the other, something familiar surfaces — a part of ourselves we may not have noticed before.
The work speaks of relationship as a space of mutual recognition. The other person becomes not so much a mirror as a place where we can see a part of ourselves differently than before.
This relief is sold unframed — the work is finished on all edges and designed to be displayed without a frame, ready to hang.
