I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, where I majored in Painting. I worked as a graphic designer for many years, but painting was always present within me.
I slowly developed my own painting language. I didn't want to paint haphazardly or repeat ready-made solutions. I searched for a form that was truly my own. Today, I feel emotionally ready to give painting the place that has long been most important to me.
In my paintings, I focus on shadow, dark spots, intense color, and light that momentarily elevates form from the darkness. I'm interested in what isn't directly shown — the moment when a painting is felt rather than simply viewed.
I like it when light picks out only a fragment of the painting, leaving the imagination to fill in the rest.

Process
Shadow and light
I'm most interested in shadow in my paintings. I like it when dark spots dominate the composition and when not everything is immediately visible. Sometimes I feel like you can see more in shadow than in full light, because it leaves room for the imagination.
I'm interested in the moment when form begins to emerge from the darkness. A streak of light, a glow, or a strong color is enough to momentarily reveal a face, an object, or a fragment of space. Light doesn't have to be natural for me — it can be cool, warm, sharp, or soft, depending on the emotion and energy I want to convey.
I don't want to reveal everything. I prefer when part of the painting remains in shadow, and form appears only in fragments. This tension between what is hidden and what is momentarily revealed is most important to me.

In my painting, light and shadow form a language I'm still learning and continuing to develop.

Education
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, where I majored in Painting. I worked as a graphic designer for many years, but painting was always present within me.
I paint mainly out of a need to create and to keep exploring. For me, every painting is an attempt to find something new — in light, color, shadow, and form. If one of my works holds someone's attention for a while and comes to mean something to them, that's a lovely honor for me.
